Design Outdoor first opened in 2002, when co-owners Harold Hilderbran and Dmitri Pruyn decided it was time for change in the hardscape industry. Having combined experience of over 30 years, they both knew all too well the prevailing industry sentiment that while large, repeatable volume, jobs were king, the little guy didn’t seem to matter.

Design Outdoor saw a void in customer service forming and decided to do something about it. We wanted to do better and over the past few decades, we have. Our guiding principle has always remained the same, help people make their outdoor living spaces beautiful regardless of project size or budget.
